If you are a current client, you should receive an organizer from our office in early January. Please contact us if you have not received your organizer by January 15th. Filling out your organizer is the first step that you can take to assure that we prepare your taxes correctly. It lists all of the information that we used for your return in the previous year. We will compare this information with the paperwork that you give us for the current year to make sure that nothing is missing. For example, if in 2016 you reported dividends from a brokerage firm, we would expect that you would also report dividends in 2017. Please cross out information that is no longer applicable.
Please include all official tax forms, W-2's, 1099's, 1098's, etc.
We do not need to see your medical receipts. Listing total expenses will suffice.
