​Tax Professional – At Hendrick & Kellison LLC, we provide more than just a tax return to our clients. Our tax professionals go a step beyond preparing the return, as we provide our clients with tax planning throughout the year. We are looking for an experienced tax return professional for our Corvallis, Oregon CPA office, who can help us deliver both compliance and planning. This position could be seasonal or year-round. Pay is between $20 and $50 per hour, dependent on experience and quality of your work product. We prefer to have our professionals work in our office, but remote work is possible.
 
You will have the opportunity to work in a busy, but flexible, work environment, learn new skills and work with a fantastic client base made up of individuals, trusts, estates and businesses. You will need to have a minimum of three years of experience in individual tax return preparation. You can set your own schedule as long as you are meeting the firm’s and client's needs. We have an easy-going work environment where we respect each other. The work is challenging but rewarding. Come help us provide quality service to our clients all while growing your own professional skills. Our compensation is above average, and we reward accuracy and efficiency. Benefits provided include reimbursement for licensing and continuing education and a SIMPLE pension plan. Depending on hours worked, you may be eligible for health, dental and vision insurance as well as a medical reimbursement plan. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare individual tax returns
  • Identify tax saving opportunities for clients to implement
  • Prepare trust tax returns [Training provided]
  • Prepare partnership and corporate returns
 
Qualifications:
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience preparing individual tax returns
  • Be a self-motivator with the drive to see a project through to the end
  • Have the ability to identify tax issues and find solutions
  • Have excellent work paper organization and referencing skills
  • Be organized and have the ability to work with an attention to detail
  • Be ethical and practice confidentiality with client information
  • Have the ability to take feedback and learn and grow professionally from it
 
 
Qualifications (continued):
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, Tic Tac Tie and Ultra Tax a plus but not required
  • Team player with a positive attitude a must
